Everyone knows that I am the biggest fan of Tara's weekly Gallery meme. I haven't missed a single week - but this week she had me fair and square. I was flummoxed. So I started trawling through my old images and I found this gem.
People I give you The Famous Five....
In this intriguing new novel the five head to Cornwall for fun, sun, sea, sand and lashings and lashings of ginger beer...
Left to right... Totally Sonny, Me, Yan To, ModelGirl, Funny Girl.
Love it! Great interpretation of the theme.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! Loved reading those books when I was young! But where is Timmy? ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd what a good looking famous five you are...Great idea. :0) xx

What a beautiful family and fab photo too x
ReplyDeleteAh,lovely pic. Makes me nostalgic for a family holiday (not too long to wait now!). Love how Funny Girl has removed a flip flop!! So dull wearing two. Never read the Famous Five tho - you recommend?
ReplyDeleteYou do look as if you were about to go off on an adventure, ransack a few caves and find smugglers, tie them up and call the police! Cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great family photo! I love it! Can't wait to see you very soon!!
ReplyDeleteWell everyone... Fab comments. Fowey Yes.
ReplyDeleteAdventure for sure... we were on our way to crabbing on the harbour. After casting our lines FunnyGirl decided she needed to pee so off we went with ModelGirl in tow to find the nearest loo.
Meanwhile back at the crabbin site... Totally Sonny was showing off and leaned just a little too far into the harbour which resulted in him falling (in slow motion according to Yan), right in the water with an allmighty splash!
There were lots of people around and Yan remembers someone saying "Look his father is crying". For the record... he was not crying - he was laughing. Sonny's superstar swimming skills get him back to the steps and out of the water and we walk around the corner post toilet visit to see a hysterical husband and one very wet kid.
The end.
Ha ha great story there! I hope you enjoyed some potted shrimp sandwiches and Ginger ale too!! You are a good looking bunch btw.
ReplyDelete:-)
