My lot are into their second week of school now, but for lots of parents today is the very first day of their little ones school lives.
I have a bumper of week 'Back to School' giveaways for you kicking off with this Photosmart Printer from HP.
The competition is now closed - the winner has been drawn and notified. Thank you for entering.
To enter all you need to do is a leave a comment on this post telling me what you do with all of the photographs you take? Perhaps you print them out, upload them to social networking sites like Facebook, Flickr and instagram. Or do you just upload them and store them on your computer?
The winner will be chosen at midnight (GMT) 12/09/11 at random from all of the comments left on the post. Usual terms and conditions apply.
Before you enter, HP have some great printing tips to share with you.
Between the school run and supermarket shop, juggling work and playtime – all the while being a domestic goddess – you’ll notice how quickly time flies! So whether you’re ‘freezing time’ with pictures to capture those precious family moments, helping the kids with a school project, or just reviewing work documents, here are a few printing pointers to get the best out of what you’re doing.
There’s more to print than meets the eye, so grab yourself a cuppa and take five to read some creative, green and money saving printing tips!
Think before you print
It sounds obvious, but using the wrong materials or the wrong printer settings is one of the most common reasons for poor quality materials and it gets expensive.
· Print in draft: Get your green head on if you’re going to be printing a lot of text, especially if you’re only proofing homework, or maybe documents from work. Printing in draft not only helps the environment but it will save you time and money too!
· Long lasting memories: On the other hand, for vibrant long-lasting pictures which will take pride of place on the mantelpiece – make sure you’re using the right paper and ink. Most photo printers now deliver professional quality photos at home so it’s time to get snap happy.
Take advantage of the technologies available!
Every day we hear about new gadgets, apps and innovations in technology – print is no different. Make sure you know what’s new in the world of print to make your experience as easy as possible.
· Beyond wireless: HP’s unique ePrint technology means you no longer have to be attached to a network or even a laptop / PC in order to print! Every HP ePrinter has its own email address, so as long as you can email something (from your mobile for example), you can print it, from anywhere in the world, to your printer at home.
· Holiday snaps: Why wait until the holiday is over before sharing the family holiday photos with granny and granddad – using HP ePrint you could email them a picture of your family on the beach and it will immediately be printed out, bring the sun, sea and sand to your parents’ front room!
Don’t forget the environment
· Look for the duplex printer function, allowing you to print on both sides of the paper every time you hit print – most new printers have them. Selecting this option means you halve your paper usage and use less energy to print - without compromising on quality - but you’re doing your bit for the environment too!
· Certified sustainable: keep an eye out when buying your ink and paper that your purchases come from a sustainable source, or are accredited with a reputable energy award. Not only are HP papers and inks all EnergyStar certified, but HP is also the only print company which operates a ‘closed loop’ recycling programme, meaning cartridges are recycled back into new cartridges (rather than downgraded into poorer quality plastics). To date, HP has manufactured more than ONE BILLION recycled cartridges using this process!
Colour counts!
Finally, don’t forget that you can make anything come to life by designing and printing it in colour – and doesn’t have to be an expensive luxury!
· The colourful party: Get creative with the kids and design their next birthday party invites with them. They’ll love being hands on in the process and invites will come to life by making them personalised and printed in colour. What’s more, printing at home is likely to be less expensive than purchasing pre-designed invites off the shelf. Why not print some fun decorations for the party from your printer too. Designing special placemats, goody bag cards and even hats will make sure everyone remembers the party for a long time!
· Colour means business: if you want to make a real impact with potential clients, new customers or a new supplier, remember that printing your marketing materials in colour will add an extra dimension that black and white simply doesn’t muster. One company we know of starting printing invoices in colour, with balances in red ink, and found payment response times increased immediately – people don’t like seeing red on a statement! How could you make your business more effective with colour?
I do loads with them. My favs I instagram, tweet and Facebook ... I print them for my 'rouge gallery' at home, I edit, crop and generally tinker with them. I may cards at birthdays, Christmas and over occasions. I obsess over them. I love taking photos!
ReplyDeleteIf I was to win the printer it would make my life a lot easier. I recently started childminding and the printer would allow me to print photos to share with the parents, showing them what we have been up to.
ReplyDeleteI have also thought about starting scrapbooking for my children so this would really help to make this possible
@eyplayfullearners
Gosh I am photo mad, I have canvases done with them, a magnetic notice board for ones we print out an my instagram account is full of them. I have 3 hard drive with them all backed up on rofl
ReplyDeleteI am a photo freak! I take at least 100 pics a week of my kids and the fun we get upto! I haven't got a printer, so we never print out our pictures.. Something I really NEED to sort out!!!!.. We always upload to instagram, Facebook, twitter!
ReplyDeleteI take photos of everything. (well, nearly everything) I use my iPhone and then download to iPhoto and categorise everything in there - how organised! Shame the same can't be said for the rest of my life - sent 7yo to school an hour early this morning :)
ReplyDeleteI take 100's of photos each month so I always get the best ones only printed out, mostly of my son. They go into photo albums that I treasure so much, precious.
ReplyDeleteI have a gallery of photo's running up my stairs. I love photo's they are just the perfect way to capture a moment, to hold a memory
ReplyDeleteI intend to do lots with them, but usually end up bunging a few on the blog and leaving the rest in the computer file.
ReplyDeletePS My printer has just packed in.
That a great prize! I tend to take photos, get the best ones printed out professionally (as we don't have a printer at home) and framed and the rest either get put on my blog or stay on the portable hard drive of my laptop. x
ReplyDeleteI store most of my photos on my computer, which I shouldn't because when my last PC died it took all my photos with it. If only I'd printed them out (!!). *wink*
ReplyDeleteI have them printed (so annoying, especially as I can be terribly impatient), I put them in scrapbooks, make calenders or have them printed on cups, mouse pads or even puzzles. Photos are such a great way to share memories x
ReplyDeleteI used to print dozens of photos, until our printer went wrong, so now they just sit in folder after disorganised folder across my laptop, Husband's PC and various external hard drives, memory cards and flash drives! I'd love to start printing again, our walls are so bare *sob* ;-)
ReplyDeleteI upload mine to my computer, share them on Facebook and my blog, and put them on my digital photo frame, but dont have a printer so cant print them.
ReplyDeleteWe have soo many photos. we have a camera and so does our daughter. We upload them to the PC and sort into relevant files. Sometimes we upload to Snapfish and have had calendars and mugs made for presents. Or we upload to facebook. Anything really. My next project is a montage of favourite places for our daughter.
ReplyDeleteAaah it was Alex's first day at school today. I cried... he ran off and didn't look back... Im still crying... he wants to do it all over again tomorrow *necks wine and shudders*
ReplyDeleteWe don't actually own a printer... we never have. I always go to mums to print off anything important! Therefore my photos are all on Facebook sadly : ( no actual prints. If I had this bad boy though, the house would be covered wall to wall in pics!
@second_time_mum
I store them all on pc, share some on facebook but don't often print them as its too fiddly
ReplyDeleteI have far too many to store on my laptop so they are now on a seperate hard drive. I do lots of things with mine. Print them (sadly have to use an online service to do so)to send to family. I facebook the best ones and also send to my digital photo frame to display in our front room.
ReplyDeleteI am taking part in a 365 project: 1 photo every day for a year, and I publish this on my blog. At the end of the year, I'm making it into a photobook.
ReplyDeleteAside from that they get stored on the external HDD, printed out for mum and dad, or made into photobooks.
Great competition, thanks.
I do pretty much everything except print them! I tweet, facebook, Instagram, Hipstamatic and picnik them but I need to start printing them. Especially for my 88 year old Grandma who just loves showing off pics of her great grandson!
ReplyDeleteI store them on my computer, discs and also print some out!
ReplyDeletei print alot of them and store alot on the computer
ReplyDeleteThe new cookie from Oreo is the TRIPLE DOUBLE OREO.
ReplyDeleteSave them onto disc, print them, share them!
ReplyDeleteI save them onto my computer, back them up onto disc, share them on Facebook. I only print out very special ones.
ReplyDeleteclairew137@yahoo.co.uk
i take most with my phone, and like to flick through them on public transport...keeps me amused and reminds me of good times, while i'm stuck in traffic
ReplyDeleteI take loads of photos and store them to my PC - I very rarely post photos to social networking sites unless my family/friends want to see them.
ReplyDeleteHave made an album or now albums of lil Grace, we have a photo of her for every week of her life from birth to now three years on. Printed them all out because, can't trust a hard drive or CDs to keep them safe forever.
ReplyDelete@phyllgerry
I store pictures of food and boats on my work computer on Picasa and try to tag them so that I can find them at a later date for presentations.
ReplyDeleteAt home I have so many pictures, I have an action on my someday list to rename and sort all of my pictures.
For Buddy I'm going to print out loads of pics to make a scrap book up for him so that we can document what he is up to. So the printer would be a welcomed asset to this project - We are thinking we need to invest in a new one very soon, you can't read anything off the present one, nevermind print a photograph.
I also use pics for my blog and blipfoto accounts. Photos can tell a thousand words, I just love them!
I store them on the computer, burning a selection of the best ones and printing a selection from the best ones. The kids love experimenting with the photos to give them different shapes, outlook, etc. We print out the ones they fins most amusing.
ReplyDelete@oldwalshy
ReplyDeletewe have memories, they go into albums as a record of our life holiday/births/parties, they are great, when you have grandchildren and great gran children, a scanner would be lovely, to pass over the net
I email them and retouch/crop the best for a photo wall. It means you can have a room full of wonderful smiles to remind you of loved ones and fun times.
ReplyDeleteI store my photos on an external drive so that I can take them with me everywhere (work etc) then whenever I get a bit of free time I can have a play with them, changing, enhancing.
ReplyDeleteI think have about a trillion pics as I document just about everything boy child does so that it can be shown to him (and prospective partners) when he is older
My photos are stored on the computer (with backup on a hard drive). We print some to put in an album and send some by e-mail to friends and family.
ReplyDelete@beachrambler
Lots of them just go to Picassa and I send the link to a few people, usually family. However, I have two photobooks (of myself and first months of my new baby)and I have ordered some photos for albums when there was a special offer. I have only printed a few photos from our old printer.
ReplyDeleteHi have 1000s on my pc, with the best one going onto my photography facebook page and also flkr and photobucket to share on the forums. If im particulary proud, i will print them off!
ReplyDeleteI store them on my computer but I hope to put the ones of my baby son into a photobook on his 1st birthday.
ReplyDeleteI mainly take photos and store them on my pc. I'm terrible at being organised though and worry that I will lose them all if my laptop was ever to break down.
ReplyDeleteI am about to become a student midwife in a couple of days and would love to start a couple of scrapbooks. One for my midwifery experiences and one for my chldren, So my partner can take pictures of the things that I might miss out on, such as school plays and days out, while I am studying.
http://creatingmorechaos.blogspot.com/
I store them on my computer and make them into slideshows adding favourite music or little booklets. I print a lot and let the kids annotate them in scrap books and cards. I try to document what is going on in the children's lives through photographs and they so readily evoke memories. I back up my photographs on an external hard drive weekly.
ReplyDeleteI tend to take photos and download them onto the desktop and then leave them there and don't look at them very often -sadly when the last desktop died it cost nearly £80 to get them recovered so I'd love a printer like this to print them to have a permanent hard copy of them
ReplyDeleteIt depends on what type of photo it is. Some I use for party invitations or thank you cards. Some I print out and use as incentives. I stick them around my desk to help me remember why I do the things I do. other photos go on my Portable External Hard Drive.
ReplyDeleteI download all my photos sonto my computer and onto my digital photo frame. I print out my favourites and frame them for my own home or for family and friends - I regularly update the photos around my home and the photos I take out of frames, I put in a photo album. I always make Christmas cards using a photo of my children together - with a Christmas theme (eg all wearing Christmas hats). I have also created jigsaws, mugs, mouse mats etc from favourite photos as gifts for my own parents!
ReplyDeleteI usually just put them in an Album on my computer, then at christmas I create albums using the pictures and give them to family. this prize would be amazing as it would mean I could make the albums myself.thanks for the chance to win.x
ReplyDeleteStore them on my pc and when I am a bit down I look at them and they cheer me up again.
ReplyDeleteI also use some of them to make cards for family and friends xxx
I take loads of photos of my daughter, family holidays and days out etc and I print most of them out, put them in photo albums and write loads of notes next to them. It takes a while but they are great to look back at - my daughters albums are more like a photo diary and I hope she'll enjoy looking at them when she is older. I also print some out for family and friends or share them on flkr.
ReplyDeleteI have the majority on my p.c., which I share with family/friends. Favourite ones I have put onto canvas, but I have to send "good" ones away to be printed as I haven't got a printer.
ReplyDeleteI take photo's when we go out somewhere nice or there is a special event on. Usually once a month we have a family get together and I will show off the pictures to all the family. Last week we spent about an hour trying to print off a photo of a steam engine for my grandson, unsuccessfully I might add!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to buy a glass coffee table and cover it with pictures of my world travels and holidays, gig tickets and pictures and then put another layer of glass over the top. such an original feature for the home and will stir lots of memories when people come to visit.
ReplyDelete@beardedsalmon
I do take a lot of photos, the best ones are all saved on data chips, and then I print them using an online photo service, the printed ones are then put in photo albums for my children to look at. Would love to win a printer as printing the photos would be instant and save me a small fortune.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the competition
I upload the best on Flickr. Rest I put to folders and burn on CDs. The nicest ones I develop and frame.
ReplyDeleteI like to print out photos to make scrapbooks/collages for family and friends. I also like to include lots of photos on my blog of everything that is happening in my life. I will be taking lots more photos soon as our first baby is due in a weeks time, so this would be great ti print out photos, make them into thank you cards etc. For family and friends! :) x
ReplyDeleteStore all the pics on my pc , share some on facebook and also try to make some photobooks
ReplyDeleteI take loads of photos, but I have no way of printing them, so they mostly end up on Facebook and getting emailed to the poor souls I've captured on camera!
ReplyDeleteI really wish i did more with my photo's, most of them are just on the computer waiting for something to happen to them!
ReplyDeleteSadly I just store them on my computer.
ReplyDeleteI ALways print my photos that are good out every month. Also have a slide show on my desktop.
ReplyDeleteI cannot tell you how passionate i'am about photography!! Im always boring friends and family to death with photos of my little family. I post them on Facebook, have a usb stick of special photos that i play on a digital photo frame, i have them turned into calanders for family at christmas, i have them framed all over the house, on canvas,in albums. Ive used 4 memory cards since my son was born and his only 15 months old.Oops!
ReplyDeleteEmail: mariadeanronan@hotmail.co.uk
Oh gosh, I'm terrible! I'm always full of good intntions - photobooks and scrapbooks, but in reality, they get uploaded to the pc, stuck in a folder, and never even printed off - the fact that my printer is rubbish doesn't help, but I really should do more!
ReplyDeleteI save them all to my external harddrive and create backups incase my harddrive fails. :)
ReplyDeleteI save all my photographs on an external hard drive that I purchased after a disaster when my computer crashed. I put some on facebbok for my family in Australia to see, I also like to buy photobooks from the internet so that my pictures tell a story.
ReplyDeleteI upload the photographs to my computer and then after picking out the best ones I upload them to 'Photobox' an online photograph printing site. I then choose amount, size, finish etc before placing an order. Within 2-3 days the photographs arrive and I file them away in albums. Some go into frames and on shelves or walls. I also back the photographs up to hard drives/disks ensure that I always have a backup, would have to lose them.
ReplyDeleteI like to print all the pics out as well as share them on sites like facebook - that way I have an album to cherish and remember
ReplyDeleteI upload them to my PC and also store them on a DVD.
ReplyDeleteStore them on my tablet
ReplyDeleteI upload all my photos to the skydrive. That way they are visible to invited family and friens to download and print whichever ones thay like.
ReplyDeletei store them but always back them up and print them too just to be on the safe side!
ReplyDelete@ashlallan
Id keep them in photoalbums ready to share with my children as they get older. Looking back and reliving memories with your children - ok it may make me feel very old when this moment happens by my gosh it would be worth it. Days may come and go but memories are there to keep and share with photos
ReplyDeletesweetkissez1986@hotmail.co.uk
print them off and put them in really pretty albums, or make them into those photo ooks, they are really lovely @kemo_2002
ReplyDeleteI so wish I could print them out, but for now they are all stored on my computer, and on my memory card which I keep safe, photo's cannot be replaced so I think its important to back them up!
ReplyDeleteWe display them on a digital photo frame
ReplyDeleteIt depends how good they are! I print a lot off and put them in picture frames. If they aren't brilliant I tend to keep them on my portable hard drive!
ReplyDeleteI would print off pictures for scrapbooking, but also print off some postcards for family who live far away. They seem to be a dying trend, and what a lovely way to say a quick hello but by picture postcard.
ReplyDeletestralis@btinternet.com
I take hundreds of photo's and then I scrapbook the best ones... its a great way to preserve memories and also an excuse to chat with like minded friends while cutting and sticking!!!
ReplyDeleteI put mine all onto photobox and fb. I love all the diaries and calender's u can make off photo box and they store them all for you for free :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm a serial photographer especially since having two children and a husband in the forces, i'm always the one with the camera on a night out too! I generally just upload onto a my computer, save on the hard drive, upload to facebook and every now and them send off for a batch load of photos that i like to put on my kitchen walls/fridge and in frames (and also a variety of ones for my hubby to take away on tour with him) love love love photos...u can never get the time back but you can always have pictures to jog your memories! x
ReplyDeleteI've always been really anal about printing out, ordering and labelling my photos. These days I have them printed up into photobooks by Photobox (I've tried most of the other companies but I think they're the best.) In the old days I kept prints neatly labelled in numbered albums. I have LOADS going back to the 70's!
ReplyDeleteI can never work out how to sign in on these blog comments so I'll leave my Twitter name @Saspidistra.
I print a couple out a month and use them in placemats etc.
ReplyDeletei am guilty of taking millions of pictures (i am always clicking as i dont want to miss anything!). But i dont print much. I tend to save them on my computer and put them on Facebook etc.... I need to start printing!
ReplyDeletethey usually get uploaded on to my comp but i never get round to getting prints done as i have to send off for them :O(
ReplyDeletehi, i would use it to make a family scrap book with my kids! it would be great to do this as a family. i also use FB lots and of course will be printing of this x
ReplyDeleteI save most of them on my computer and print the best ones to put in albums and frames.
ReplyDeleteWe take loads and loads of pictures of our kids but to rarely print any pictures out. Tend to put some pics on FB for the relatives to see and print out some one in a blue moon for the kids nans and thats about it..... the rest are sitting on my computer.
ReplyDeleteOh didn't leave my contact for my previous comment.... i have no idea how to work blogs other than to read them.
ReplyDelete@angeldaisy2002
I just put them on facebook
ReplyDeleteI upload and store them on my computer, I take lots so I only put a select few on facebook. Occasionally I have a play with Photoshop too :)(Twitter @kate_strickland)
ReplyDeleteI have uploaded a few to my computer, but the rest are still on my memory card, I'd love to be able to print some off.
ReplyDeleteI use my photos for scrapbooking but I can't do as many pages as I would like because I have to use online photo printing services and the costs build up.
ReplyDeleteBeing able to print them myself would be a dream!!
@JoKiely
I post the best ones to facebook and also have them all printed to show family and friends I also get photobooks of holidays, parties etc
ReplyDeleteI save all mine onto my laptop then put the ones I'd like to keep onto disc.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I save them on the computer, I mostlt take photos of my daughter so they're all organised by her first month, second month, and so on. Then I'll see what online photo printing offers there are and order them online. I'll also save them on a cd, I've backed them up every way I can! I also love putting photo's up in my house so I'll print the ones that I want to put on the wall.
ReplyDeleteOr if I've got photo's of a special day or just photo's where we've had a family get together, I'll email them to the people that were there.
I keep them all in folders on the PC. A new folder for each date or occasion such as a holiday.
ReplyDeleteMy favourits are copied and also kept on my iPad so they are easy to show.
I also print a few and put in photo frames
We take digital photos and download them onto the PC, stored by month in yearly folders. Some I upload to facebook, others I print out for collages, or stroy making with my daughter - for example if we go out for the day, I take pics every so often and then we come home and create a story where we write a sentence or two underneath saying what we were doing.
ReplyDeleteSave them on the computer and DVDs, send some to my mum and dad and print them for photo frames
ReplyDelete@ali991
I love to take photo@s on a proper camera the excitement went you have them developed gives you such an adrenalin rush as you forgot what you take,
ReplyDeletei am always taking photos nearly every day and all stored on my laptop, and on my external harddrive,
ReplyDeleteI keep an online copy, a printed copy and a digital copy on a backed up external hard drive. Photos are lifes memories and with my memory like a sieve i like nothing better than to spend time looking at happy times.
ReplyDeleteI upload to my computer and file them all away into folders for each month and year.
ReplyDeleteOnce a year I get a whole load printed using an online service. I then put them into albums.
I know people who just leave photos on their computer but I think it's nice to have real albums to pull out occasionally and to share with friends, family and visitors.
@maisietoo
I upload to my computer and file them into different folders, some I use to upload to FB, and occasionally send to friends :)
ReplyDeleteNot enough. I have started facebooking some so my Mum who is miles away can see the kids. I always think i should do more and print more for the kids for the future
ReplyDeleteI store them on my computer.
ReplyDeletei ujploaded them to my computer, also use snapfish to print them and also post on my blog and FB
ReplyDeletestore all them on an External hard drive, facebook most of them. very few get printed as i dont have a printer ;)
ReplyDeleteI actually dont do much with them, mine are just stuck clogging up my laptop as to order prints online its just too expensive.
ReplyDeleteI do store and print off my favourites of the family to put on display
ReplyDeleteMost of mine are just stored on photo sharing websites or Facebook. I only have special ones like my wedding photos printed, but I do keep meaning to get my honeymoon photos and a few others printed too xx
ReplyDeleteI browse them on the cdomputer, print the best ones and make scrapbook pages to keep aswell as making calendars for grandparents.
ReplyDeleteI put them in huge photo albums i love photos.
ReplyDeletenicks-1983@hotmail.com
I take pics of everything and anything! I put them all on CDs and get the nicest ones printed
ReplyDeleteMost of Mine are stored on my computer, and displayed on a wifi digital photoframe. It would be great to be able to print them though
ReplyDeletei usually just store them on the pc but id love to win this printer so i could print my favs for everyone to see
ReplyDeletejanineatkin82@msn.com
I Just store them on Pc but sometimes share on facebook occasionally we take them to boots to print
ReplyDeleteI upload them to the computer. I used to print them off but my printer didn't print them very clearly, so I order the prints online now.
ReplyDeleteI just store them on my computer, my printer is rubbish so i don't print them. I do like using them for presents though, ordering mugs with funny photos on etc for birthdays.
ReplyDeleteI take 100's of photos each month so I always get the best ones only printed out, mostly of my SON AND DAUGHTER. They go into photo albums that I treasure so much, precious.
ReplyDeleteAll the not so grand ones go onto facebook the nice ones we print out for an album or for the wall
ReplyDeleteI would print them and post them into a scrapbook. I have always been interested in scarpbooking (saving mementos from holiday and special occassions into a book), but I have never got round to doing it.
ReplyDeletei have so many pictures. i like to make scrapbooks and keep all my pics in there =]
ReplyDeleteI am a seriel photo taker. I love photos and the memories that they hold and I still insist on printing them all. It costs me a small fortune but I don't think you can beat real photographs to hold in your hand, put in a frame of flick through an album :0)
ReplyDeletedonnasmith@lineone.net
I save my pictures to a portable harddrive but would love to print out my favourites sometime and have them in a large family album
ReplyDeleteI store them on my laptop and phone, share them on facebook, have some put onto canvas and have others printed out to frame or made into photobooks for myself and as presents for other people.
ReplyDelete@cattish1
I keep all photos on my computer, but for my mum i need to print it and post it. She is old-date type of person and not very familiar with technology
ReplyDelete@joanna_kow
I'm an avid digi-photo taker - currently using a Kodak mini - and the first thing I always do is to upload my pics onto laptop and check that all photos are safe on the memory card.
ReplyDeleteDisaster struck abt a year ago - old laptop crashed and hardware was destroyed. Every photo I had of my son btwn 22mths old and 4yrs was gone! I hadn't been using a memory card nor had I a printer for hard copies to have been done.
I will never forgive myself for it - key moments, day trips, silly faces, fun days all gone!
So in the event of some sort of 'apocolypse-techo-crash-date', I'd love a photo printer so that I can have those memories to share with my little boy when he's older.
I upload them onto the computer and put them on disk.I like to save them for entering into photo competitions.
ReplyDeleteI take loads of pictures, share them with friends family and have tons of disks full of pictures!
ReplyDeleteI download them onto my laptop, then copy them to disc.
ReplyDeleteMy pics nearly always end up on facebook, so I tend to keep them all stored on my laptop. Would love a good printer to print off some of the most memorable ones though.
ReplyDeleteI actually just upload them to the pc then I don't very often do anything with them, I really should print some out, but I just never get round to it! Now and again they might get uploaded to facebook too :)
ReplyDeleteIf i was to win it would save me a lot of money in buyin prints of photos as my husband always laughs at me because as soon as we got of holidays etc (sometimes before) I go out buying the self adesive photo albums so i can make scrap books with all of the pictures and little bits like coins etc and type up little headers and everything! We have pictures all over the house etc i just love looking back at them as they show you all of the things you have done and hold some many memories and fun times that without the pictures you may just forget!I love taking pictures of my little girl too she is only two now but on her 18th birthday she will be getting her very own special little book with lots of pictures and little phrases and things she has done and achieved throughout her life i have the box in our cupboard already collecting things together : )
ReplyDeleteMostly I do nothing with my photos! Sad I know, but I do like looking at them from time to time!
ReplyDeletedpygott at hotmail dot co dot uk
I love taking photos, most just end up in a folder on my computer, but I've had some printed on canvas.
ReplyDeleteI'd create a scrapbook to capture all of the memories I have stored on my camera's memory card so that I can sit the family down to reminisce over the blurry photographs with peoples heads cut off my father always seems to take!
ReplyDeleteThey just end up on my computer.
ReplyDeleteThey just end up on my computer.
ReplyDeleteI store my photographs onto dvd's so I always have a back up. I also have photographs developed and put them into two large photograph albums for my 2 children so they always have an album now and for when they are older. I haven't recently been able to afford to develop the last 6 months of photograhs, so if I won this printer, it would be fab !!!!
ReplyDeleteI upload them to my computer where they sit largely forgotten! I used to print them out but my printer was a bit old and wonky and it all became too much hassle!
ReplyDeletelinda.hine1@virgin.net
I would make them into a hand made scrap book!
ReplyDeleteI tend to upload them to my pc and then pop them onto an external hard drive just in case anything happens to the computer!
ReplyDeleteI only tend to print for special occasions but I do share my photos quite often on twitter and facebook.
I also use the photos to make presents such as calendars for friends and family.
I just print off the best and store the rest
ReplyDeleteI save them all externally to keep them safe and email and share on facebook those which i think others will want to see
ReplyDeleteWe choose our favourites, edit them to make them look super duper, then over Christmas holiday we upload and make a photobook for that year so we have a reminder of everything we did. x
ReplyDeletesome I print off, others are stored on the computer or some are on facebook.
ReplyDeleteI upload some to facebook, keep all on harddrive and also spare harddrive, use a programme called memories on tv to back them up to disc with music added to suit the occasion. I also have some printed out and had over 1,200 from our holiday to Florida printed out when there was an online offer to have them done for 1p a print.
ReplyDeleteI have loads sitting the the computer and an intention to do something with them - just haven't put the two together yet!
ReplyDeleteI upload and store mine on my PC!
ReplyDeleteUpload them on facebook to share with friends and once in a while print a load of them out to put in an album
ReplyDeleteI get them printed then in the spare bedroom/computer room I cover the walls in photo memorys. Each wall has a theme.

I'm always taking loads of photo's. My favourite ones, I print out as A4 photo's on photo paper and them laminate them and put them on the wall. I get all of my favourites printed as 6x4" photo's on one of the photo printing sites and put my favourite ones in an abum and the rest away in a box. I use some to get put on mugs as gifts, or buy photobooks or posters. I keep them all on my laptop, on a USB portable hard drive and on Facebook - I learnt my lesson after my hard disk broke several years ago and I lost almost every single baby photo I had of my son :(
ReplyDeleteI Add them to facebook and also love using the photos for customized cards for different events

I print out most of them (the good ones, anyway!) and Scrapbook them, it's a lovely way to preserve special memories and fun to do too.

we make lots of albums with the pictures of our 3 boys, we also try to make personalised birthday cards for their grandparents plus a calendar at christmas.
ReplyDeleteWe store them on our PC and print some out for relatives.
ReplyDeleteI save them on my laptop but would love to do more with them!
ReplyDeleteMy children & I like to make scrapbooks out of the pictures we take throughout the year. These books make ideal christmas presents, and they are different every year!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun & saves money too!!
Shirley Giles : I store most of my photo's on digital frame and have a copy on desk top, so many important memories need to be stored and shared!

ReplyDeleteI upload them to FB, Twitter and suchlike. I used to print them out, but the charges for printing photos these days are just too dear. I have recently been away to Cornwall, and would love to print the pics out. Hayley

I upload some to Facebook, print some and send some to family! :)
ReplyDeleteWe print them and stick them on the fridge mainly, but I have a long running joke with my other half and she gets an item every year on her birthday featuring me and the kids (snowglobe, mug, t-shirt etc)
ReplyDeleteWe add them to facebook and flickr if they are special, otherwise we just save them on our computer. I am on twitter as @auroradreaming
ReplyDeleteI store ALL my photos on my laptop, uploading most to my facebook but I also like to have a printed photo for my children to put in their scrapbooks or our photos albums
ReplyDeleteOne of those mammoth jobs I'm still getting round to! Removed all my oldies from the old photo books as they were getting damaged. Would like to get everything onto photobooks one day but cud cost a fortune! Most are now uploaded onto facebook - really is a great way of sharing!
ReplyDeletei usually put them all on to my computer and then add my faves to facebook. i also get them put onto a disc as im scared something will happen to my computer and im terrified of losing them. occasionally i like to get proper photos but i find this quite expensive. i have thought about investing in a printer so i would love to win this :o)
ReplyDeleteI upload them onto my computer and sometimes upload to facebook or photobucket :-)
ReplyDeleteI upload my photos to facebook or just store them on my comp! I usually ask other members of my family to store some too! Would love to be able to print my own o yez!!!
