This is me meme : The Revenge

As my blog ages I've almost stopped taking part in tagged memes. I'm not sure why, perhaps as I hurtle towards my 40th birthday I'm becoming craggier?!
However, Tara re tagged me in a meme that she ran back in 2009 and again in 2011 where artistic control was passed over to those who love us most, our children.
The result, stunning artwork aka stick men and potato mums that had us chuckling at each other for weeks.

My original meme entry was an old pic that Betty drew when she started in 4+. Yes, I do look like Popeye.

Today, I've changed considerably in the arm department. From spending too much time typing I'm told but at least the old Jazz Hands are going strong.
No idea what she means by the slogan T-Shirt though *cough*.

Betty's portrait of me

Biba went for an adaptation of me on Cybher™ day this year in a dress lovingly created by Yan and a pair of trusty Dr Martens boots. My arms seem to have shrunk in her eyes too!

So I'm going to tag...
Typecast who can cheat and get her grand kids to do it.

If you are desperado to join in you don't have to wait to be tagged, just pop the link to your post over on Tara's blog.

Mummy-Tips Ultimate Christmas Song

I'm a bit bah humbug about Christmas to be honest - but I was tagged by Claire in the Ultimate Christmas Song Meme that is doing the rounds and if I was forced to choose one song it would be Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas.
I feel that I should point out that I'm a Smiths fan NOT a Mariah fan but I am partial to Love Actually. Thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
Enjoy!

I'm tagging Ryan, Big Fashionista and Claire (it may make her blog)!

Update...
Fellow Smiths fan Dawnie Brown tweeted that she was disappointed I didn't go for a Smiths tune and she's right. Despite Moz being as much of a Bah Humbug as me, if its good enough for John Lewis then it's good enough for me - here's what it should sound like!
Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want from my favourite Smiths album, Hatful of Hollow.
Dawnie - I'm tagging you too!

Tagged.... Q&A

I just got tagged by one of my bloggy buddies Tara who got tagged by the very lovely Kerry Jean Lister - you get the picture....

Kerry poached these celeb / politician / author Q and A's from The Guardian Weekend mag because she says the answers have the power to reveal the real you whilst helping her to decide if she'd like to go for a pint with you or tell you where to go.
Lets see how I get on...

My husband Yan for having the bottle to follow his dream and not giving up.

When were you happiest?
Thailand 2000.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
Too many to mention but being carried out of a 7 year old's roller skating party on a stretcher has to rank pretty high.

Aside from property, what's the most expensive thing you've bought?
A Franck Muller watch for Yan's 40th birthday.

What is your most treasured possession?
My life.

Where would you like to live?
I 'm happy where I am now but Phuket, New York, Hong Kong.

The fact that I took a wrong turn on the way home from Cornwall, got stuck in the worst traffic jam ever and ended up missing the Morrissey gig. I'm still pissed off about that!
