CozyGlo Nightlights Need Your Help

I love the idea of crowdsourced funding and I've dipped my toe into a few tech projects like this ZX Spectrum remake but until this week I'd not come across a pitch in the nursery industry.

It's so refreshing to see such humble, dynamic, enthusiasm in bringing a product into the industry that I've worked in for the last sixteen years, that I'm throwing this out there in the hope that you, my readers will feel inspired enough to get behind them too.

Enter CozyGlo, the cute, multi-purpose nightlight that's set to rock the block. It will be available in the three cool designs below, Pappa Penguin, Beatrice the Rescue Dog and Colonel Comfort.

CozyGlo Night Lights

Featuring a thermometer, stopwatch, clock, countdown light timer, dimmer and light alarm. Each character can be battery powered or plugged into the mains.

CozyGlo Features

But CozyGlo need your help to bring this fab product to market. They need £7000 for each mould in order to put the lights into production and if they exceed their crowdfunding target, the money raised will go towards their first bulk order.

Over on their Born crowdfunding page they are offering a range of gifts and incentives to get involved at this early stage and you can even bag yourself one of the first run of nightlight's at a fraction of the retail price, just for giving them a helping hand to make their product dream a reality.

And you know what they say.... a good deed goes a long way. Karma and all that...

Here's how you can help..
Follow CozyGlo on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Stop by their website and share this post with all your friends that might be interested in this awesome new product.

My First Wagon Wheel!

Earlier today I started one of those jobs that you end up wishing you hadn't even thought of.... sorting out my nearly bursting external hard drive. I've been at it for hours and I've just emptied 45,321 items out of my trash. It's a testing time. I will clearly have deleted something that I shouldn't have - but that's just the way I roll...

There is a positive side to the last three hours spent staring at my mac and that is this beautiful, cute video that I discovered...

Clearly the baby in the video isn't a baby anymore and I asked his permission before posting this. Even he had to agree that its pretty darned cute!

Finding this in the depths of my computer made me so pleased that I'd filmed my babies so much when they were small. Life has a habit of making you forget the total and utter cuteness and funny things that they did and said. Things that you should never have let slip from your mind.
So next time your little one is saying 'No Photo', don't listen because you might just regret it if you do.

Stokke have a new baby! Introducing MyCarrier

It is great to be involved in product launches and today, we are celebrating the birth of the new baby carrier, Stokke® My Carrier.

I really got into baby wearing when Biba had Chicken Pox at three weeks old. She became really clingy and the only way I could get her to settle was to hold her close.
After nine months inside your baby is so used to your natural movements its no surprise that they want to be as close to you as possible I guess?

DID YOU HAVE TROUBLE WEANING YOUR BABY?

08/03/10
DID YOU HAVE TROUBLE WEANING YOUR BABY?
Mother & Baby would love to chat to a mum of a baby (one year - 18 months old) who struggled when they first tried to wean them onto food. The journalist would love to have a 15 minute chat about the problems you came up against and how you managed to finally get your baby onto solids. This is a great chance for you to impart your advice to other mums, struggling with the weaning process. In return, you'll get to see your story printed in the UK's top parenting magazine.

If you're interested in getting involved email mummytips at gmail dot com with a bit about your story, your contact details including a phone number, and a photo of you - or leave a comment and i will pass your details on.

Sleepytot, the best way to settle your baby down to sleep

It isn't very often that a really practical but equally cute products comes along. In fact the idea behind my today's top treat is so simple that it is hard to believe that someone didn't come up with the idea before!

Sleepytot is a soft and cuddly baby comforter that has velcro pads on it's hands and feet that you can attach a dummy, or teething ring to.

Yes, so what you might say...... Think about it. How many times have you checked on your baby only to realise that their dummy has fallen out of their cot and into a dust ball behind the wardrobe? If you are anything like me the answer to that is many, many times! No matter how well I clean it is just a true fact of life that your nice clean dummy will find a nice grubby pile of muck to land in!

Apart from keeping stuff from straying, Sleepytot is a cute and cuddly friend for your little one to snuggle up to at night - and replaceable should he be lost.

Not just for babies either. My middle daughter is bunny mad - as you know from previous posts and she just loves her Sleepytot!

Baby & All Bag Carrier and changing bag in one!

Now if there ever was a good idea then this has to be it. All of you out there with a toddler will be only too aware of their fierce determination to walk everywhere - until they actually have to do it that is.
How many times have you been caught short without your pushchair and end up lugging your heavy little one till your arms are ready to burst?
The Baby & All bag is the complete answer! It is a handbag / changing bag that with a couple of adjustments becomes a carrier too. You don't have to empty your bag to get it into carrier mode which makes it perfect for those times when their little legs just won't walk any further.
It comes in a few different styles but I especially love their new designer option that is just about to hit the shops. It is going to sell for around £90 but it looks like the kind of handbag that I am more than happy to be seen out and about with.

Is this the best looking pushchair ever?

I know that I have historically suffered from an addiction to pushchairs and now that my youngest no longer requires me to push her around (all be it in state of the art wheels) it is with deep sadness that I don't get to own one of these fantastic new Stokke Xplory's.
Looking firmly ahead to spring - they have launched two new accessories kits in the aptly named Forest patterns. I saw pics of them a couple of weeks ago but I was lucky enough to see one in the flesh yesterday and they are quite simply stunning.
The kits are a great idea. You can give your Xplory an update without breaking the bank. For around  £100 you get a hood, diaper wallet, bottle bag and footmuff. Can't decide which colour? Buy them both! If you want to have a bit of a play around with how the colours look, check out their new Xplory moods page and customise to your hearts content!
