CybHer12 - Have Your Say

Firstly, thank you for all of your interest in CybHer. Any reservations about moving forward on my own have been totally blown away thanks to your messages of support.
I've spent hours reading through all 300+ post CyberMummy blog posts so that I can make CybHer12 the best blogger conference yet. I say I, but I really mean we, because I will be calling on all of those offers of help over the next few months.
I know that everyone is eager for me to release full event information and I'll be in a position to do so in another couple of weeks.
In the meantime, can you spare 5 minutes to fill in this pre-conference questionnaire? It doesn't matter if you've never attended a blogger conference, I want to hear your views too.

Create your free online surveys with SurveyMonkey, the world's leading questionnaire tool.

Thank you,
Sian.

Top Mummy Bloggers... and a new I Went to CyberMummy11 badge

Not quite sure how this happened  but I'm happy to take praise when it's given.

I think that I'm supposed to hustle votes but if I'm honest, making the shortlist just blows me away anyway.

I've crammed so much into the last twelve months, and I'm really proud to have been a part of it all.  I've made some amazing new friends... the ones that don't come along with great regularity, they know who they are.

And there was CyberMummy10, BlogHer10 with @Cosmicgirlie, #Blogladesh,  #UNsummitNYC, meeting my real life hero @nickkristof, winning the BMB Brilliance in Blogging 2010, Make A Difference Blogger award, seeing my beautiful daughters make their TV debut on Annabel's  Kitchen on CITV, winning the Bloganthropy blogger of the month, Yan's first collection going into Harrods, going to Downing Street with Save the Children and of course CyberMummy11.

See, it's been a pretty amazing year. If you do feel inclined, click on the picture below to get to the Loved By Parents voting page.

Thanks for all your amazing support, Blogladesh and CyberMummy wouldn't be the successes that they are without you people behind me.

Dear Bloggers...

I just wanted to say a very big thank you for coming to CyberMummy today. It means a lot to me and you all rock.
It was quite an emotional day and this how I ended it - fast asleep on a sofa in the very noisy bar at The Hoxton, surrounded by fellow bloggers!

If you have a post about #Cybermummy11, do add it to this Linky and if you have any pics you can share them on the CyberMummy Flickr Group?

Are you looking for a CyberMummy11 ticket?

With CyberMummy only five weeks away I'm getting an increasing number of emails from people desperate to get their hands on a ticket.
As you know, the conference is sold out but people's circumstances change and there are people with tickets who now can't make it.
I am helping to match sellers with buyers but I think it would help all parties if there was a central place to find the info.
So, if you are desperate to get your hands on a ticket leave a comment on this post beginning;

'Looking to buy' along with a means of contact and if you are selling, 'Looking to sell'.

Once sale has happened the seller will then need to email me (sian at CyberMummy dot com) and I'll reply with the delegate transfer form.
Thanks.

- Added 17/5/11. Please only post tickets that are being sold at face value. I DO NOT advocate the selling on of tickets for profit.

Added 18/5/11. I also have details of a couple of hotel room that people are trying to sell on. 1 double room for Friday 24th June at the Hoxton and one double room for Saturday 25th at the Hoxton. Email me for more info.

CyberMummy - Only 7 Weeks Away!

Every time I see my blog my heart takes a little leap as I see the days to CyberMummy11 counting down. We have a great line up, some brilliant sponsors and we are honoured that Sarah Brown will be delivering the keynote.
The chatter on Twitter is great fun to watch and I'm loving all the 'What are you wearing to CyberMummy?' tweets. There's been talk of fancy dress, big hats, moustaches, maxi dresses and bacon but rest assured it's a casual day - just wear whatever makes you comfortable.
If you aren't already adorning your blog with a CyberMummy badge, get one now using the code in the sidebar so that you can start making new friends before the big day.

So, what are you wearing? I could do with some inspiration myself!

If you're not sure how to add the badge, tweet me @mummytips or pop me an email and I'll give you a hand.
See you in.... 50 days!

Free Business Cards from moo.com for CyberMummy11

I've been a MOO fan for a couple of years. I love the unique size of their mini cards and the reaction that they get every single time you hand one out. They can be used for just about anything; business cards, product tags, mummy cards, gift tags or even to create a design showcase.
Biba even has a set to give out to her friends showcasing some of the photography from her blog.

Business cards are a MUST for any type of conference and the very lovely people at moo.com are offering each and every CyberMummy11 attendee the chance to order 50 FREE business cards (as pictured below - you just pay the £3 postage and packaging).
You can choose up to 50 different images to display on your cards using MOO's Printfinity technology. Use pics from your blog, pics of you, text, logo or anything that captures your style.
Each of your FREE MOO Business Cards will come with a CyberMummy11 watermark so that there's no forgetting where your card was picked up.
To claim your FREE cards visit the CyberMummy11 Moo page.

Please rest assured that I'm not being all CyberMummy-ist here as I have another non conference related offer to share with you later this week.
Do you already use cards to promote your blog? Or mummy cards as an easy way to share your details at nursery or in the school playground? Would love to hear your thoughts.

CyberMummy, Social Media Week and WIN a Kodak Video Camera #smwldn

I've had a whirlwind of a week to say the least. From the UK to Germany and back again via a spot on a Social Media Week panel with my CyberMummy partners Susanna and Jen.
Our 'Meet the bloggers' session was hosted by social media guru Eva Koegan and we were joined on the panel by the brains behind #Blogladesh Liz Scarff and some of the guys from the boutique blogger channel that I am part of, Handpicked Media.
It was really interesting to hear the views of my contemporaries and our comments threw back lots of reactions from the audience so it was a job well done.
To celebrate Social Media Week #smwldn, Kodak have given me one of their new PLAYTOUCH video cameras to give away to one of my readers.
This is an great camera with easy to use functions like edit, tag and uploads directly to all your top social media sites like Facebook, Flickr and YouTube.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is;
1. Leave a comment on this post with your with  your answer to the below question.
2. Subscribe to my blog (if you don't already do so), using the form below. If you don't subscribe I won't be able to contact you if you win.

The new Kodak Camera is called PLAY........what?

Sarah Brown to speak at CyberMummy11

What an exciting day it's been. I've been sitting on the amazing news that Sarah Brown will be delivering the CyberMummy11 keynote and it has been killing me. I'm pants at secrets but now it's all out in the open and I can get back to working out what the next surprise announcement is going to be!

For those of you who don't know, Sarah is the founder and President of PiggyBankKids, a charity that she founded in 2002 that supports charitable projects to create opportunities for children and young people in the UK. She's also Global Patron of the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood and a leading campaigner for maternal mortality.
On the social media front she really is one of us... and if you aren't already following her on Twitter, you'll find her @SarahBrownUK.
She's been involved in some really inspirational campaigns and I'm honoured that she's taking time out of her schedule to join us.
Her book about life at the UK's most famous address, Behind the Black Door is published in March, so don't forget to bring your copy for her to sign.

The other thing that I will be totally be screaming about is next week's Social Media Week.
This biannual event is a global platform that connects people, content and conversation around emerging trends in social media. And it truly is global.
Events will be taking place in London, Paris, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Sao Paolo, Paris, Rome and Hong Kong. Last years events attracted more than 7,500 attendees and thousands more joined the conversation online.

On Thursday 10th February at 11am, Susanna, Jen and I (aka the CyberMummy team) take to the floor in a 'Meet the Bloggers' session hosted by LBi.

Here's what they are saying about us!
A Chance to meet the women behind the leading parenting and lifestyle blogs in the UK. get answers to your questions, including: How should brands interact with bloggers? What are the upcoming trends in 2011? What on earth is CyberMummy11? What does it take to become a respected blogger? Can you make a living out of it? Got a question you want to pose - sign up now and be a part of the conversation.
If you'd like more info - take a look at the Social Media Week site and wish us luck!

Are you looking for a CyberMummy Sponsor?

I know that lots of you still are still looking for a sponsor and despite me saying I don't have the time to facilitate the matching of brands with bloggers I still don't feel as though I can just turn my back on the whole thing.
So, how is this?
A central place for bloggers to post their sponsorship pitches and an easy to navigate list for brands looking for bloggers to hook up with.
So simple I'm surprised that I didn't think of it before. All you need to do is add your sponsorship post or pitch to the Linky and I'll send all brand enquiries this way.
If you do secure a sponsor can you please let me know so that I can amend the list?
Good luck.

Thank you to everyone who took part in my 2010 round up photo meme. There were some great entries and ModelGirl and I had some heated debates in the run up to choosing the winner.
I gave her the final decision and this was her winning entry.

Any guesses whose it is?

Congratulations Kat - your post was ModelGirl's firm fav from the start - you win the CyberMummy11 ticket. We hope you can make it.
If you haven't already - do stop by Kat's blog Housewife Confidential.

My 2010 in Pictures - win a CyberMummy11 ticket

It's been quite a year for me, first CyberMummy10 and then Blogladesh and the UN with Save the Children. I wanted to say thank you for all of the help and support from you, my friends and fellow bloggers. There were some dark times - especially in Bangladesh but what we achieved is set to change the face of charity campaigning for good. You were all a part of that.

To say thank you, I'm giving away a ticket to CyberMummy11 - but you do have to work for it!

To be in with a chance of winning you need to join in the 'Your 2010 in Pictures' meme. Your entry can be a single picture that sums up 2010 for you or a montage like mine. Do your post then come back and add it to the Linky below.

Here is my 2010.....

Entry closes at midnight (GMT) on 10/01/11 and a winner will be chosen by my trusty assistant and me over a packet of biscuits and a pot of tea.
The prize is a ticket to CyberMummy11.

A spot of CyberMummy housekeeping!

I hope you all had a great Christmas:)
As many of you noticed I've had my head down and yes I finally managed to get a few days away from my computer but I'm still alive so worry not!

The big news is that you only have 2 more days to get hold of your Early Bird CyberMummy11 ticket. On the 1st January the price will go up to £100. Get your ticket here.
There are still quite a few people who are yet to pay for their CyberMummy100 Club number. Wouldn't it be great if we could get this tied up to do a New Years Day draw?
Please check the link above to see who we are waiting for.
If you need to pay please email me and I will reply with payment instructions. mummytips at gmail dot com

Thank you for all of your support this year - you have all been amazing.

CyberMummy 100 Club - The Next Step

Hurray... all 100 numbers in the CyberMummy 100 Club have been sold.
It was touch and go for a while there and I do apologise for turning tetchy and slightly neurotic but it seemed to do the trick.
So the next step is getting all 100 £5's in. I do realise that this is going to be a mammoth task and I emplore you to pull out now if you think you might not be able to pay. By the very nature of the 100 club we need to get everyones money in before we make the draw.
Having mulled it over with my trusted advisors @michelloui and @secondofclarity we have decided on the two following payment options.

1. Paypal payment.
If this is how you would like to pay, please send me an email stating your 100 club number and your registered paypal address. I will then send you a funds request - you pay and you get a big red PAID mark next to your name!

2. Cheque payment.
If this is for you, pop me an email and I'll give you my postal address. If you are paying by cheque - please make sure you write your 100 club number on the reverse, or I won't know who it is from. As soon as I have your cheque you will also get a big red PAID by your name.

So your next step is to email me by clicking on the hyperlink to let me know if you will be paying by Paypal or by Cheque. When you email please use CyberMummy100 Club as the subject title and quote your 100 Club number so that I can keep a clean and tidy spreadsheet.

Now I do realise that it's Christmas and that not everyone has spare funds right now but the sooner we get the payments in the sooner we can pick our lucky winners.
I'm going to set a payment deadline of 15/01/11 - which is one month from today. If you can't make that payment deadline please talk to me and we will work something out. The whole 100 Club relies on everyones honesty and I really don't want to resort to stropping and moaning to get the money in... I do enough of that already!
Please leave a comment so that I know you have seen this... and don't forget to grab your 100 Club badge here, supporting our community is something to be proud of. xx
You can keep up with who has already paid here.

MummyTips and the Build a Bear's Sparkle all the way..

OMG - I cannot believe that I nearly missed this weeks Gallery.... and as it's 22mins past midnight I actually have missed it but better late than never...
Tara's theme this week is Sparkle and I was inspired by (copied) my friend Karin from Cafebebe...Please don't tell her...!!
She posted a beautiful pic of her Little Miss from a lovely day out we had courtesy of Build A Bear. My pic is a true rarity... Both of my girls in the same frame - without me having to engage even the slightest photoshop edit...
And they do truly Sparkle...

My wish for 2011 is that they learn to value, love and respect each other..... because I am fed up of their fighting!
